From festival website to year-round event ecosystem — built to scale trust, relevance, and discovery.
BLR Hubba is a city-wide cultural initiative by Unboxing Bangalore, envisioned to be South Asia’s largest urban cultural festival. Its mission: to celebrate Bangalore’s diverse culture and bring niche, hyper-local events to the mainstream.
The existing platforms (e.g., BookMyShow) were movie-first, with poor support for niche artists and local curators. Discovery was broken. Artists were underrepresented. And attendees couldn’t find events that resonated with them.
In 2024, the team committed to build something bigger:
→ A year-round cultural platform, not just a seasonal festival page.
I joined as the Lead Product Designer at the start of the second edition — after a barebones go-live site was released.
