After three years of product-led growth, Nuclei’s flagship super app — enabling banks to offer services like travel, shopping, and lifestyle bookings — began to show signs of stagnation.
Despite being embedded in banking apps used by millions:
One of the first challenges I faced was the absence of historical design files or documentation. I had to reverse-engineer flows from live banking apps — a process that exposed just how fragmented and inconsistent the user experience had become. This constraint not only made redesign harder, it also made the need for a scalable, tokenized design system non-negotiable.
